GUESTS. Guests of members are always welcome. We just ask for advance notice for groups larger than three. Prior to visiting, please have your guests review our Common Law guidelines that outline House conduct expected of all visitors. Please check in with Concierge upon arrival.

21+ Policy. We are a 21+ club. However, guests under the age of 21 are welcome to join us on Saturdays until 5pm.

PRIVATE PARTIES. From time to time areas of the House may be reserved for private dining or events. We will ensure you are notified of any schedule changes or closures via email as well as posting signage well in advance. 

FOOD & BEVERAGE. Please refrain from bringing in outside food or beverages. Our full service menu and craft cocktails can be enjoyed anywhere within the House. If you are vegan, paleo, gluten-free or have other dietary needs, give us a heads-up - we’ve got you covered.

PETS. Though we love our furry friends, we ask that you leave them at home. Trained service animals only are allowed in the House.

PROHIBITED ITEMS. Firearms, drugs, tobacco, cigarettes, and vaporizers are strictly prohibited at the House, including exterior areas.

CONDUCT. Members are required to abide by the unwritten rules of courtesy, dignity, and good conduct. Every member is responsible for the actions and behavior of their guests. A complaint against any member or guest alleging an infraction of the House Rules or conduct should be submitted to our membership team. Common House follows a one-warning policy and has the right to refuse service and terminate membership at any time. The below instances would not fall under the one-warning policy and would be subject to immediate termination of membership.

TECHNOLOGY. Selfies are great and we always appreciate a tag (@commonhousechatt), however we respect the privacy of our Members and ask that you do the same. Please take phone calls in Ruby Hall or a more private area, such as a conference room. Use of Common House’s identity is not allowed without written permission. Photoshoots require prior approval (email Concierge to inquire).

PARKING. Members have access to the parking directly behind our building. Please just ensure that your hang tag is visible on your rearview mirror. Please refrain from parking in the neighboring residential area, Fort Negley. Common House is not responsible for any parking tickets members may receive outside of the designated parking area. For additional up-to-date parking information, please refer to our website or member portal.

PERSONAL PROPERTY. Members and guests are responsible for their personal property, and found items can be retrieved from Concierge (found items unclaimed for three months will be donated to charity).

POOL. We hope you will enjoy our pool with family and friends. Please no running, jumping, diving, or glass. Because no lifeguard will be on duty, please be mindful of safe swimming practices. Those under 21 are not allowed in the pool outside of special programming events.

STAYING IN TOUCH. Our primary form of keeping you informed of House notices, schedule changes, or any important member details is via email. Please add chattanooga@commonhouse.com and conciergechatt@commonhouse.com to your address book to ensure that you receive our messages. 

BILLING. Membership fees are due the first of each month, and any outstanding balances may result in termination of your membership. Common House has the ability to increase membership pricing at any point but will provide a one month notification to members. Before your departure, we kindly ask you to settle your bill, including your guest’s bill in the event it is unpaid. A 20% House Fee will automatically be applied to your check, which is used to help support restaurant operations and employee benefits. Outstanding bills can be resolved with Concierge using your card on file.

CANCELLATIONS. Members must submit a cancellation survey 30 days in advance of the next billing date. Once the cancellation form is submitted, members will retain access to the club until the end of the billing period and no further membership dues will be placed on the member’s card. Common House does not issue refunds of any kind if the member cancels in the middle of a monthly, quarterly, or annual membership.

Quarterly pause deadlines: Q1: December 1st / Q2: March 1st / Q3: June 1st / Q4: September 1st

Annual pause deadline: 30 days before member’s annual billing date (for example, if a membership starts on August 15, 2023, the member will need to request a pause by July 15, 2024).

PAUSING MEMBERSHIP. Members can pause their Common House membership for up to two (2) months per twelve month period. Requests must be submitted 30 days before the next billing period, and, in order to qualify, the member must be in good standing with no outstanding dues or dining charges on their account. The pause on membership will not begin until the first day of the following billing period after request. Reactivation will happen automatically on the first after the two (2) month period ends. In the event that you wish to cancel your membership before the pause period is over, you must reach out to membership@commonhouse.com 30 days in advance of the next billing date. Dues will not be refunded to those members who are reactivated after their pause period ends and forget to request a cancellation.

REFUND POLICY. Common House does not issue refunds on dues or initiation fees after you submit your membership application. Unless there was a mistake with your billing, refunds are not issued if members do not utilize the House in any matter. If members are unable to take advantage of their membership, please let our membership team know so that we can cancel your membership moving forward.

REJOINING. Should a canceled member decide to apply for membership again, the full initiation fee will be required upon activation. If an individual requests to rejoin the House within 18 months of cancelling their original membership, the initiation fees will be raised to a higher rate.
