Richmond
What precautionary safety measures are you taking against COVID-19?
Upon the House’s opening, we are implementing the following sanitization and safety protocols:
* Use EPA-registered disinfectants
* Sanitize all surfaces and high-touch objects every 30 minutes
* Provide wipes, gloves, and alcohol-based hand sanitizer throughout the club
* Implement reservations for dining, co-working, and recreation to limit occupancy
* Require mandatory masks for members and staff, except while eating and drinking
* Administer contactless temperatures upon entry
* Space all tables and chairs six feet a part
* Conduct nightly deep cleans of the building
Can you elaborate on capacity and booking a reservation?
We are limiting our indoor space to 50% capacity. To ensure a spot, we encourage that you make a reservation prior to visiting the House. You will receive an email with your member portal link. Please log onto the member portal to make reservations for dining, drinks, and to book hourly coworking and private office space.
Dining & Drinks: Book via the member portal under “Dining” or email Concierge
Conference Room & Private Offices: Book via the member portal under “Book A Space” or email Concierge
Coworking: no reservation required
Can I show up without a reservation?
We always do our best to accommodate every member. However, due to COVID and our efforts to make Common House as safe as possible for everyone, we strongly encourage making reservations.
When I arrive at the House where will I go?
The member entrance is located at 303 W. Broad Street. Please ring the doorbell upon arrival. Once inside of the House, please check in at the front desk. Concierge will take a contactless temperature check. Members or guests with temperatures of 99.5 and higher will be asked to go home and rest.
What about masks, are they required?
Per CDC guidelines, please plan to wear a mask in the House. When seated at a table, we ask that you keep your mask on, except for while eating and drinking. If you forget your mask, we have $1 disposable and $12 reusable masks available for purchase.
Is there a policy for guests and children?
Guests are always welcome at the House. Please update all guests on our COVID-19 protocols. Although we are a 21+ club, kiddos are welcome to join us on Saturday and Sunday until 5pm. However, if your family or friends are sick or exhibit COVID symptoms, we ask that they please stay home. We’d love to see them when they are feeling well again.
What HVAC adjustments are being taken?
Our industry-leading partners are taking multiple measures to optimize ventilation and fresh airflow circulation into all areas of the House. Such measures include the installment of UV lighting in ducts and air closets as well as free-standing units with HEPA filters.
What will table service look like?
Our full-service menu and craft cocktails can be enjoyed anywhere within the House. For special events, you can reserve our wine cellar with special selections curated by Sommelier Erin Scala. Whether you are seated inside or on our rooftop terrace, all tables will be spaced six feet apart, with party sizes limited to 10. Your table’s centerpiece? Hand sanitizer.
Did you say rooftop pool?
Yes! We hope you enjoy our rooftop pool with family and friends. Please no running, jumping, diving, or glass. Because no lifeguard will be on duty, please be mindful of safe swimming practices, including social distancing while in and outside the water. While we love our kiddos, those under 18 are not allowed in the pool outside of special programming events. Please BYOT (Bring Your Own Towel).
What about programming?
We will host a regular slate of in-house programming, including film screenings, podcast demos, wellness classes, wine tastings, educational seminars, networking luncheons, and more. Because of reduced occupancy regulations, book your spot in advance via our Goings On site. In tandem with our in-person events, we’ll continue to offer virtual programming and outdoor gatherings, such as happy hours, yoga classes, and neighborhood walks.
What about the screening room?
The screening room has a 20 person capacity, and we limit RSVPs to 10 people. Attendees are seated pod-style, keeping empty chairs and rows between groups to maintain a social distance. Masks are required for everyone to wear for the duration of the film.
What about private events?
Our event spaces are versatile for indoor and outdoor celebrations. All furnishings will be spread out to ensure safe social distancing, and we will be enforcing the CDC’s recommended procedures and protocols for private events. Anything else I should know?
Though it goes without saying, we cannot accept any Members (or their guests) who are experiencing a fever, dry cough, additional COVID-19 symptoms, or those who have been in close proximity with someone who has recently tested positive. If you or someone in your party has tested positive after visiting the House, please alert us so we can follow tracing guidelines. Firearms, drugs, cigarettes and vaporizers are strictly prohibited at the House, including exterior areas.
